Entangled

Some people hear the word sociopath and conjure up the image of a psychopathic killer, but sociopaths do not kill the body. They are killers of souls. With narcissistic tendencies that drive them to do whatever they please, Sociopaths lack a sense of moral responsibility and have no conscience. The definition doesn’t come close to what lurks beneath the surface. I learned this the hard way. I got entangled with one. It’s still hard to believe that the person I loved never really existed. He was a ghost, a man without a soul.

Based on a True Story

  1. This book really hit home with me & it is very worthwhile reading. Hard to get out of a bad situation sometime so I thought interesting to see how Natalie went through her encounter with a sociopath.

  2. In a word (or three words) "OMG"! I hope to see this in the theater someday, and I hope that they can find a male actor that can adequately portray the loathing, manipulative, lying antagonist called "Daniel" - I am sure to despise him on screen as much as I do now in print! I could not put this book down; reading it on my Kindle in less than a day. I strongly recommend that you all immediately download the FREE sample. You can do this on your Kindle or simply on your computer, iPad, etc. via the Amazon web site. What you will get is the complete first seven chapters. And after reading those you will most certainly be compelled to download the entire book!

  3. Anyone who has ever been emotionally manipulated and/or abused should read this book! "Entangled" pulls female and male readers along a real life dream we all have, to find true love with our "soul mate". Prepare to be frustrated and angry with Natalie's actions and inability to say N-O, at the same time feel sympathy for her decisions, driven by her multitude of motivations, love, money, jealousy and more. Her emotions all become entangled in her attempts trying to make this doomed relationship with a Sociopath work. If you've ever been dissuaded or manipulated by a so called loving partner on their own agenda, you can identify.
A roller coaster ride. The heights of our desires for love and affection to depths of despair from betrayal of trust and deceit of affection.
Entangled would make a great LIFETIME MOVIE!

  4. Though this is a story geared more toward female readers, men will find interest in it too--a look at a dysfunctional relationship from the distaff side. Some of the situations will frustrate and make you angry, others will evoke symathy, but the tale will pull you along until you reach its inevitable conclusion. Based on true events, Ms. Monroe weaves a cautionary tale that will inform as well as entertain. When you think about it, what more can you ask from a book?

  5. As the author of THE SECRET LIFE OF CAPTAIN X: MY LIFE WITH A PSYCHOPATH PILOT I read Entangled while researching for my book, looking for other victims. Ms. Monroe tells her compelling memoir about her involvement with a person with an antisocial personality disorder. She does it well. Involvement with these people can happen to anyone. Unfortunately it happened to both of us. A good read.
